Ease the conflict, lower the volume, and help the people who love each other most start understanding each other again.
Families rarely fall apart over one big thing. It is the accumulation - the topic nobody can raise, the two people who only speak through a third, the door that closes a little harder each year. Everyone is trying. Everyone is exhausted. And because it is family, nobody feels allowed to say it out loud. Family counselling is where it gets said out loud, safely, with someone in the room who is not on anyone's side.

Family counselling - often called family therapy - treats the family as a system rather than a collection of individuals, on the simple premise that the trouble usually lives in the space between people rather than inside any one of them. In a confidential, structured space, we look at how the family communicates, where roles have become rigid, and what everyone is protecting.
It is not about identifying who is at fault. Every family has a story about who the difficult one is, and that story is almost never the real thing. My job is to make it safe enough for the real thing to surface - and then to help you build a different way of being together.
Anyone who wants their family to be a place they can breathe again.
The patterns, roles and ruptures that keep families stuck, handled with balance and care.
How things are said, heard and misheard in your particular family.
The argument that resets every festival, visit or Sunday.
With in-laws, parents, adult children and each other.
The peacekeeper, fixer, scapegoat, invisible one.
Reconnecting across the gap between generations.
Including money, property and care of ageing parents.
Apology, forgiveness and rebuilding after real hurt.

No. It is rarely all-or-nothing. Sometimes it is a parent and a child, sometimes two siblings, sometimes a couple and one in-law, sometimes the full household.

If the rest of your family will not come at all, start on your own. One person understanding their role in a pattern can genuinely change the pattern.
We decide together who needs to be in which conversation, and it can change as the work develops.
I hold a balanced, judgement-free space where every person in the room feels respected - including the one everyone else came to talk about. I do not take sides and I do not allocate blame; it is the fastest way to lose a family's trust and it does not help anybody. My approach is warm, practical and experiential, drawing where it helps on breathwork, expressive work and other tools from a holistic toolkit. Respect, active listening, honesty, encouragement and complete confidentiality apply to everyone equally.
One person makes the first contact. That is how it almost always starts.
We map how your family communicates and where it gets stuck.
Practical ways to speak, listen, disagree and repair.
Small changes between sessions, reviewed together.
We agree who attends which session as we go. Everything shared stays confidential.

I see families in person at OutAloud Wellness, 5th Road, Khar (West), Mumbai, and offer confidential online family counselling across India and overseas.
